Nowadays accurate characterization of the magnetic component losses becomes increasingly important in design stage power converters. As main challenge characterizing a component, core loss is commonly measured through two winding B-H loop measurement method that susceptible to phase discrepancy error, especially for low-permeability, low-loss cores. This paper, therefore, proposes new offline compensate error high-frequency under rectangular voltage excitation. In post-processing waveforms, compensated by shifting current horizontally align with reference angle, which found from an impedance sweep on component-under-test and FFT analysis. result, testing waveforms can be without considering deskew at time measuring. Additionally, this more than calibration methods fixed frequency response (e.g., fixture), because it considers across whole spectrum. The proposed approach well applied typical PWM converters switching frequencies up hundreds kilohertz, effective harmonics extend few megahertz range evaluated analyzer. presented experimentally verified against existing partial cancellation immune error.
